CNC MACHINE OPERATOR DMC POWER
Inc. is a global provider of power/utility electrical connection products and associated tools. With roots in the aerospace industry, DMC POWER offers a revolutionary process for utilities and industrial clients to build Substation Bus, Cable, Grounding and Transmission Systems. Manufacturing facilities in Carson, CA and Olive Branch, MS with numerous Service Center locations nationally and internationally. Our company is experiencing phenomenal growth, and is re-engineering its marketing and sales efforts to fuel its plans for expansion. With increased investments in renewable energy sources, battery storage, Data Centers, a reconfigured power grid and associated transmission lines and substations we see many years of growth. We are currently seeking full time "CNC Operators" to join our team.
JOB BRIEF
We are looking for a competent CNC Mill and Lathe Operators to use computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery safely and accurately perform a variety of functions. Your job is important since some materials are not easy to shape or handle manually or with conventional equipment. The CNC Mill and Lathe Operator must be responsible and comply with all safety guidelines. A keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude is also essential. The goal is to produce high quality parts and materials by programming machines to perform the right operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparing and operating CNC machines for tasks such as drilling and milling Reading and interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings Loading raw materials and parts onto machines Performing test runs and adjusting settings to meet specifications Monitoring machine operations and adjusting for optimal results Inspecting and measuring finished products for accuracy and quality Performing routine maintenance and daily checks on equipment Maintaining accurate job logs, routers, and related documentation Keeping work areas clean and organized in compliance with safety standards Supporting team scheduling, training, and workflow coordination as needed
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent (required) Certificate or diploma from a trade school (preferred) Proven experience operating CNC machinery Proficiency with precision measurement tools Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills Attention to detail and a results-driven approach
OTHER DUTIES
Utilize a thorough knowledge of safety practices and conduct. Housekeeping - All CNC operators are required to keep their work area clean and free of oil, chips and coolant. Machines and hand tools must be handled carefully, cleaned, organized and properly maintained. Must accurately, neatly and legibly maintain job logs, routers, and other reports/paperwork as directed. Occasionally, may be assigned to other duties, machines or activities. All CNC Machine Interns are expected to perform these other duties cooperatively, efficiently, accurately and safely.
