Job Description

CNC Set-Up Operators/Machinists and CNC Machine Operators Benchmark Precision Technologies Concord, CA Benchmark Precision Technologies in Concord is ramping up hiring in our Machine Shop for 2nd and 3rd (Weekend) shifts. Base hourly pay is DOE

•starting at $26/hour for Level I up to $45/hour for Level III (not including shift differential) Available Shifts 2nd

Shift:

Monday through Friday

•1:15 PM to 9:45 PM (+ 10% shift differential / OT available) 3rd

Shift:

Friday / Saturday / Sunday

•5:30 AM to 6:00 PM (+ 20% shift differential / OT available Level I (CNC Machine Operator) 0

•2 years' experience in a machine shop, production or precision manufacturing environment is preferred. Technical school graduate or student wanting to participate in an apprenticeship program. Will assist Set-Up operators by ensuring CNC machines are operating properly throughout run time and inspect final product to ensure quality. Experience with hand-measuring tools such as gauges, calipers and micrometers. Level II (CNC Set-Up Operator) Mill and/or Lathe 3

•5 years' experience with setting up tooling and editing dimensions for Mills

•(3 axis, 4 axis, 5 axis) or CNC (non-Swiss) Lathes. At least 2 years' experience in a precision manufacturing , ideally in aerospace/defense, medical or semiconductor in a high mix/low volume production environment. Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T specifications, and manufacturing instructions to ensure precise fabrication. Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, bore gauges, and other measurement tools to verify part dimensions and quality. Conduct machine tool setup, including tooling selection, fixture installation, and calibration to meet production specifications. Level III (up to Journeyman) CNC Set-Up Operator 6

•15 years' experience as a CNC Set-Up Operator/Machinist in precision manufacturing environment, idealyl in the aerospace/defense, aviation, medical or semiconductor industries. Experience with G & M Codes and advanced knowledge of GD&T symbols. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues promptly; understanding of basic math for measurement conversions and calculations. Understanding of manufacturing principles related to metal machining processes including manual machining techniques when necessary. Expeirence with programming is a plus, but not required.
