About the Role Join our precision manufacturing team as a CNC Lathe Operator, where you will take ownership of complex, one-off projects involving high-performance alloys and tool steels. You will play a critical role in the production of specialized industrial components, ensuring every piece meets exact engineering specifications through hands-on programming and meticulous craftsmanship. Responsibilities Execute complete setup, conversational programming, and operation of CNC lathes for custom, low-volume production runs. Interpret complex engineering prints to machine high-temp materials like Inconel, alloy steel, and tool steel. Perform in-process adjustments and mid-program restarts to maintain high precision on unique, non-repetitive parts. Conduct thorough quality inspections and deburring to ensure components meet rigorous standards. Support versatile shop operations by occasionally utilizing manual knee mills, horizontal boring mills, and conventional lathes. Collaborate with the engineering team to refine machining strategies for specialized injection molding and extrusion components. Qualifications Required Skills Proven expertise in CNC machine setup, changeover, and conversational programming. Proficiency in operating 2-4 axis CNC lathes. Strong manual machining skills and ability to work from detailed technical drawings. Experience working with diverse metal alloys and high-temperature materials. Preferred Skills Familiarity with CAM software for complex part geometry. Experience with Siemens control systems. Background in custom, one-off, or small-batch manufacturing environments.
