Step Into a Day on Our Floor You arrive to a spotless aerospace machining cell and review the day's build plan. Your first task is a precision setup on a CNC milling machine using Fanuc controls. With engineering drawings and work instructions in hand, you map out the sequence, confirm tooling, and verify offsets. Before the first chip falls, you've double-checked GD&T callouts to ensure every feature will land within spec. Throughout the shift, you'll cut challenging materials—Invar, aluminum, composites, and graphite—while performing in-process checks with micrometers, calipers, and other manual metrology tools. Between runs, you keep the cell organized and safe, and you hit production targets without compromising accuracy. What You'll Do Set up and operate CNC milling equipment per job specifications and work instructions Interpret engineering drawings/blueprints; apply GD&T to plan and verify features Machine Invar, aluminum, composite, and graphite components to tight tolerances Conduct in-process inspections using manual gauges to confirm dimensional accuracy Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized workstation while meeting output goals What You Bring Hands-on experience operating CNC milling machines (Fanuc experience strongly preferred) Proven ability to read technical drawings and apply GD&T principles Track record machining complex parts to tight tolerances Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and related manual inspection tools Why This Role Contract-to-hire path with long-term potential Consistent hours with overtime available based on business demand Operate in a highly specialized aerospace environment with advanced tooling projects Eligibility requirement: You must be eligible to obtain DoD clearance.
