Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathes to produce precision metal components. Your expertise will ensure that parts meet strict quality standards and specifications, contributing to efficient production processes. Responsibilities Set up CNC lathe machines, including installing tooling, fixtures, and workpieces according to engineering drawings and specifications Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to determine machining requirements Operate CNC lathe machines safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols and procedures Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other measurement tools to ensure parts meet quality standards Conduct routine machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments to optimize performance and minimize downtime Inspect finished components for dimensional accuracy and surface finish using precision measurement instruments and GDT (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards Requirements Proven experience operating CNC lathe machines in a manufacturing or metalworking environment Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code; experience with CNC G-code programming is essential Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models created in SolidWorks or other CAD software Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and apply GD&T principles for precise measurement and quality control Skilled in manual machining techniques using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments Mechanical knowledge of machining tools, tooling setups, machine calibration, and basic math skills for calculations related to machining operations Experience with CNC milling machines, grinding equipment, and tooling management preferred Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction in production workflows Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
