Horst Engineering, a leader in precision manufacturing since 1946, seeks a skilled CNC Milling Set Up Operator. The ideal candidate will have experience in setting up and operating CNC milling machines, ensuring the precision machining of components for industries such as aerospace, medical, and high-tech sectors. This role is pivotal in maintaining our commitment to excellence through rigorous attention to details, adherence to specifications, and consistent quality control. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC milling machines thoroughly, adhering to operational standards. Inspect machined parts with precision tools ensuring they meet tight tolerances and quality standards. Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics to perform accurate machine setups. Adjust machine settings or control parameters to optimize production efficiency and quality. Conduct routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to prevent downtime. Collaborate with CNC programmers and other team members to refine machining processes. Maintain clean and safe working areas in compliance with company policies and safety standards. Required Skills Proficient in operating CNC milling machines including set-up and adjustments. Strong understanding of CAD/CAM software. Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and schematics. Experience in measuring and inspection tools, and understanding of quality control practices.
