Your responsibilities
- Program setup: accurately set up cnc machines by loading programs, installing and aligning fixtures, and setting tool offsets (length, diameter) for production runs
- Tooling management: select and install correct cutting tools (end mills, drills, taps) into the cnc machine turret or tool changer, managing wear and replacement
- Peration and monitoring: competently operate the cnc machine, monitoring feeds, speeds, and coolant flow to ensure optimal metal removal and surface finish
- Quality control: perform meticulous first-piece and in-process inspections using precision tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges) to verify parts meet strict tolerance requirements
Troubleshooting:
diagnose and resolve basic machine alarms, program errors, or quality issues, making necessary offset adjustments during the run.location:
