Job Description

CNC Milling Operator - 2nd Shift Summit Orthopedic Technologies is seeking a dependable CNC Milling Operator to join our second-shift manufacturing team in Naples, Florida. We manufacture precision components for the orthopedic and medical device industries using modern CNC machining equipment. This is a hands-on production role focused on safely operating CNC milling machines, maintaining part quality, and keeping production running efficiently. Responsibilities Operate CNC milling machines, including Brother, Fanuc Robodrill, Haas, and similar equipment Load and unload parts, fixtures, and raw material Perform routine in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, pin gauges, and other measuring equipment Make basic tool wear offsets and adjustments as required Monitor machines for tool wear, alarms, coolant issues, and changes in part quality Complete production paperwork and accurately record inspection results Maintain cleanliness and organization around assigned machines Follow work instructions, quality procedures, and safety requirements Communicate production or quality concerns to supervisors and programmers Qualifications Previous CNC machining or manufacturing experience preferred Ability to read basic blueprints and understand dimensional tolerances Familiarity with common inspection tools Comfortable standing, loading machines, and working in a production environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Dependable attendance and ability to work independently Experience in medical device, aerospace, or other precision manufacturing is a plus Candidates with limited CNC experience may be considered if they have a strong mechanical aptitude and are willing to learn.
Schedule First Shift:
Monday through Friday Typical hours (second shift) are approximately 3:15 p.m. to 11:45 p.m . , with overtime available based on production needs. Pay:
$18.00 - $28.00 per hour
