CNC Night Shift Lead Operator Fabela Precision Solutions is looking for a reliable and motivated CNC Night Shift Lead Operator to oversee our night shift machining operations. This is a hands-on lead position responsible for keeping machines running efficiently while supervising a small team of 1-2 additional CNC operators. No CNC Setups are required during night shifty. Machines will be set up and ready for production by the day shift. The primary focus of this position is operating equipment, monitoring production, maintaining quality, and making sure the night shift runs smoothly. Responsibilities Operate CNC machines and keep production running throughout the shift Lead and oversee 1-2 additional CNC operators Assign operators to machines and make sure priorities are being followed Load and unload parts, replace material, and perform normal operator duties Perform routine in-process inspections using standard measuring equipment Monitor machines for tool wear, alarms, or other production issues Make basic tool offsets and adjustments when necessary Ensure operators are following work instructions, inspection requirements, and shop procedures Keep machines and work areas clean and organized Track production and communicate machine status, completed quantities, scrap, and any issues to the day shift Escalate machine, tooling, or quality problems when they cannot be resolved on night shift Qualifications Previous CNC machine operating experience required Ability to read basic blueprints and understand tolerances Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other basic inspection equipment Comfortable making basic CNC offsets and responding to common machine alarms Dependable and able to work independently with limited supervision Good communication and leadership skills Strong attention to quality and productivity Previous lead or supervisory experience is preferred but not required
