Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Fabrication Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine to produce precision metal and sheet metal components. Your expertise will ensure that fabrication processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely, contributing to the delivery of high-quality products. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines, and other fabrication equipment to produce parts according to detailed blueprints and specifications. Program CNC machines using G-code or other programming languages to ensure accurate machining operations. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications, and technical manuals to determine machining requirements. Utilize hand tools, calipers, micrometers, precision measuring instruments, and other tooling to inspect parts for quality and adherence to specifications. Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime. Conduct quality inspections during fabrication processes to ensure compliance with safety standards and customer specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols related to welding, electrical discharge machining, plasma cutting, stamping presses, press brake machines, and other equipment. Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks when required and support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process. Experience Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as laser cutters, milling machines, lathes, or plasma cutters in a manufacturing or fabrication setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with CNC programming languages (G-code preferred) and machine setup procedures. Hands-on experience with tooling selection, calibration of precision measuring instruments, and quality inspection techniques. Knowledge of safety procedures related to welding, electrical discharge machining (EDM), stamping presses, crane operation, and sheet metal fabrication is highly desirable. Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations involved in machining processes. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
