The Adams Company, a manufacturer of power transmission parts is seeking applicants for the position of general machine operator. A fully progressed rate of $34.35. Shift differential of $.75 per hour. Excellent benefits. Willing to work 2nd or 3rd shift. Voluntary overtime available. Minimum mandatory overtime. Pay increases of about $4000 a year the first 5 years. The minimum starting wage is $22.50, including shift differential Training is provided. Manufacturing experience a plus. Ability to handle diverse work assignments and Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and setup sheets to prepare machines for production. Set up and adjust CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines for new and repeat jobs. Select, install, and align tooling, fixtures, and workholding devices. Input and verify CNC programs, making offsets and adjustments as needed. Perform first-piece inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools. Collaborate with operators to ensure smooth handoff from setup to production. Troubleshoot setup issues to minimize downtime and scrap. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
