Set-up, operate, and trouble shoot a variety of machines including CNC, VMC, and SWISS machines. Responsible for first inspection and inspection during production, and responsible for updating and maintaining set-up sheet and program. 2nd Shift wage premium!Responsibilities:
Set-up machines following blue prints and according to work order Load material on machines as needed: band and wire on slide form, radiator, multiplex, large and small dial; coil on punch press, cut off machine; strips on automatics, punch press; sheets on slitters, shears, perforators; bars on automatic feed saw; bath in plating; parts on groovers Fine tune machine until product passes first inspection Operate machine if required: feed band on automatics, assemble two plates and a stem on the hand weld machine Read, understand information in workmanship standards Fill out appropriate sections of work order Handle, store, use micrometers, calipers, gages appropriately Perform and document S&R inspection procedures when appropriate (SPC charts, work orders, move tickets) Identify nonconforming product or material Wash tools and return to storage area Oil, lube, clean and perform minor repairs as needed Communicate with tool room or maintenance as required by supervisor Assist with training of Operator persons as needed Know and follow safety standards Participate in corrective actions as required Move parts to next operation Remove scrap Operate pallet trucksPhysical and Visual Activities:

Indoor conditions, noise, hazards, odors, toxic conditions, dust, and periods of travel to support company's international facilities may be requiredJob Qualification Requirements:
Knowledge/Experience High school graduate or equivalent; reading, basic math, blueprint reading Three to five years' experience with metal stamping, wire forming machinery Tool design, machine repair helpful Ability to lead/trainTraining Period:
3 months to a year Machines, Tools, Equipment CNC, hand tools, measuring instruments, surface and bench grinders. Lathe, mill, and drill press experience helpful Information/Directions Written and verbal work instructions, workmanship standards book (engineer drawings), quality control documentation (work orders, move tickets)Benefits
