3rd Shift CNC Operators MDi-co Gilberts, IL Job Details Full-time $17 - $27 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off Qualifications Teamwork Tooling High school diploma or GED Machining Attention to detail CNC Mechanical troubleshooting Full Job Description MDi-co is seeking a dependable 3rd Shift CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Gilberts, Illinois. Previous CNC experience is preferred, but we are happy to train motivated candidates who have a strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn. Our Third shift runs Tuesday through Saturday, 12:00 AM to 8:30 AM , with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. At MDi-co, we believe in teamwork, continuous improvement, and promoting from within. What You'll Do Operate CNC machinery safely and efficiently to produce quality parts that meet production requirements. Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify compliance with specifications. Adjust machine offsets, feeds, speeds, and tooling as needed to maintain quality and production standards. Identify and troubleshoot machining or equipment issues, escalating concerns when necessary. Load raw materials into machines and unload completed parts while ensuring proper alignment and setup. Perform routine machine care, including cleaning equipment, lubricating moving components, and replacing worn tooling when required. Accurately document production information, machine settings, tooling changes, and inspection results. Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area. Work closely with supervisors, quality personnel, engineers, and fellow production team members to achieve daily production goals. What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED equivalent. CNC operating experience is preferred; training is available for the right candidate. Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new skills. Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Familiarity with basic machine troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. Knowledge of G-code is beneficial but not required. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to stand for extended periods and safely handle materials throughout the shift. Commitment to following workplace safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.
