Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce high-quality aluminum components. Read blueprints and work instructions to ensure parts are manufactured to exact specifications. Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools to maintain quality standards. Make machine adjustments and troubleshoot issues to keep production running efficiently. Perform routine machine maintenance and follow all safety and quality procedures. Essential Skills Previous CNC machining, machine operating experience, or related technical schooling. Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and manufacturing instructions. Strong mechanical aptitude and desire to learn and grow within a manufacturing career. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with CNC mills, lathes, setup, offsets, and tool changes. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or SolidWorks. Ability to use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment. Understanding of GD&T, tooling optimization, and multi-axis machining is a plus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of McHenry, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $24.38/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
