Job Description:

Job Description Position Purpose:

As a CNC operator in our Production and Prototype department, your duties will include producing parts by programming, setting up, and operating a CNC machine, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintain equipment and supplies.

Essential Functions:

Set up, run and inspect jobs on CNC machines including first piece inspection. Operate daily assigned 3 and 4 axis CNC machines including horizontal and vertical mills Inspect completed work for conformance to specification using tools such as calipers, height gages, bore gages, thread gages and other machining measuring equipment Modify new and existing programs to run more efficiently Clean and perform preventative maintenance Answer programming questions Make good quality parts and give feedback as needed with little to no supervision Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Education and Training:

High school diploma or comparable experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience with operation of 3 and 4 axis CNC machines, tool set up, and inspection in a production environment Set up and operate Matsuura CNC mills with different generation Fanuc and Yasnac controls Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, record dimensions in inspection sheets and possess basic math skills Ability to read G and M code Computer skills required: Inventory Software; Microsoft Office;

Continually required to stand Frequently required to walk Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity Continually work near moving mechanical parts While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate The employee must occasionally lift and /or move more than 50 pounds / frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds / continually lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
