We are seeking a highly skilled and Experienced Metal Fabrication Operator for our Fabrication Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC Brake Presses while ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This role requires someone who can interpret blueprints, set up machinery, and oversee production processes effectively. Key Responsibilities:
Blueprint Interpretation:
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operations.
Machine Setup and Operation:
Program, set up, and operate fabrication equipment with precision. Perform first-run setups unassisted and within acceptable time limits.
Workpiece Handling:
Place and position workpieces accurately, securing them in holding devices, machine tables, or fixtures as necessary.
Quality Assurance:
Verify both in-process and final conformance of workpieces to specifications using measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers. Ensure all products meet quality standards.
Tool and Material Selection:
Select appropriate tools, equipment, and materials required for each job to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Documentation:
Complete production and quality paperwork as required. Maintain accurate records of production processes and quality checks.
Additional Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned by management to support overall department objectives and company goals.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in operating and setting up CNC Brake Presses, Shears, and Saws Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications. Proficiency in using measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in metal fabrication or a related field is a plus. Minimum of 3 years of experience in metal fabrication, including experience with CNC Brake Presses. Durma experience a plus.
