Job Title:

CNC Mill Machinist - 3-Axis Mill Turn (Fanuc Controls) Job Description This role is ideal for an experienced CNC Mill Machinist who thrives in a smaller, fast-paced machine shop environment and can work independently with minimal training. You will set up and run 3-axis mill turn lathes using Fanuc controls, interpret complex blueprints, and perform precise measurements to ensure high-quality parts for aerospace and other major customers. Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate 3-axis CNC mill turn lathes with live milling tooling and twin spindle configurations.

+ Independently perform complete machine set-ups, including tooling, offsets, and program selection, without ongoing supervision.

+ Run production parts efficiently and accurately, maintaining tight tolerances and consistent quality.

+ Read and interpret detailed blueprints and engineering drawings to determine machining requirements.

+ Use height gauges, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring tools to inspect parts and verify dimensions.

+ Work directly at the machine with Fanuc controls, including calling, editing, and adjusting programs using G codes and M codes.

+ Operate within a two-machine cell, managing workflow, prioritizing jobs, and ensuring both machines run effectively.

+ Perform basic troubleshooting on machines, tooling, and programs to resolve issues and minimize downtime.

+ Maintain a clean, organized work area and care for both company equipment and personal tools.

+ Collaborate with team members in a family-oriented, team-focused environment, assisting others when needed and being willing to do more than just assigned tasks.

+ Follow all shop safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and adherence to machine operating guidelines.

+ Support occasional overtime needs, including early start times and Saturday work, to meet production demands. Essential Skills

+ At least 2+ years of experience as a CNC Mill Machinist in a production or job shop environment.

+ Strong in mill turn operations, specifically on mill turn lathes with live tooling.

+ Hands-on experience with 3-axis CNC mills and 3-axis mill turn machines.

+ Proficiency with Fanuc controls, including operating, adjusting, and working directly at the machine interface.

+ Ability to perform complete CNC set-ups independently, including tooling, offsets, and program changes.
