4:00 PM-2:30 AM Job Summary We are seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join a precision manufacturing team. This position is responsible for operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality, precision components according to engineering drawings, blueprints, routers, and work instructions. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of CNC machine operating experience in a manufacturing or precision machining environment, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to perform in-process inspections using precision measurement equipment. Key Responsibilities CNC Machine Operation Operate CNC mills, lathes, or other CNC machinery to produce precision components. Read and follow engineering drawings, blueprints, routers, travelers, and work instructions. Load and unload raw materials and finished parts according to established procedures and cycle times. Set and adjust machine offsets and settings as needed. Perform tool changes and make adjustments based on tool wear and part requirements. Monitor machines during production to ensure proper operation and consistent part quality. Identify machining issues and communicate problems to the Production Manager or Shop Leader. Quality Inspection Perform in-process and final inspections to verify parts meet engineering and customer specifications. Use precision measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools . Follow inspection plans and document measurements accurately. Identify defective materials, out-of-tolerance conditions, or other quality concerns. Complete travelers, inspection records, and other required production documentation. Track and record daily production output. Safety & Shop Organization Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area. Perform basic machine and equipment maintenance as required. Communicate open work, production issues, and machine concerns during shift changes. Support a culture of quality, safety, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications Required:

High school diploma or GED. 2+ years of CNC machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, routers, travelers, and work instructions. Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measurement tools. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with CNC machines and G/M code programs. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.

Preferred:

Experience operating CNC vertical or horizontal mills . Experience operating multi-axis CNC lathes . Previous experience in a precision machine shop . Experience making machine offsets and adjustments. Familiarity with in-process inspection and quality documentation. Continuous improvement mindset. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while operating machinery. Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 35 pounds . Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machine noise and cutting coolant.
