Job Description

CNC-Apprentice (3-Year duration) BBG is one of the leading developers and producers of molds and end to end manufacturing systems for polyurethane & composite processing industries. BBG is a German-based corporation that established the subsidiary BBG North America LP in Oxford, Michigan in 2014. The facility houses Sales, technical Customer Service, as well as Production for manufacturing, repairing and modifying prototype and serial production tools for various polyurethane industries. To grow with increasing demand and provide opportunity to the next generation of talented workers, BBG is looking for a CNC-Apprentice. The position is a full time work and training opportunity for a motivated and talented individual looking to build a career in advanced manufacturing. During this paid apprenticeship you will receive hands-on training on manual machines, advanced 3- and 5-axis CNC machines, precision inspection equipment, and mold manufacturing while working alongside experienced machinists.
Your Profile:
You have a good technical understanding and enjoy solving technical problems. First experience on manual or CNC operated machines is beneficial, but not a requirement (e.g. previous work experience or educational technical classes). You have a successful graduation and high school diploma. You have good communication, self-organizational skills, and enjoy working in a team and among colleagues. You are motivated to learn and work in a manufacturing environment and want to learn new things continuously to add to your skillset. Your Responsibilities at
BBG North America LP:
Learn, train and work in our CNC-Department to grow from a CNC-Trainee to a full CNC-Operator within a 3-year period. Learn to work with CNC documentation, perform machine set-ups and operate advanced 3- and 5-axis CNC machining centers to manufacture custom precision molds, fixtures and custom parts. Read Technical Prints, Perform Set-Ups and Operate Manual Machines to manufacture components needed for mechanical mold assemblies (e.g. lathe, Bridgeport, grinder). Analyze & inspect work pieces to assure workpieces match technical prints & CAD. Support pre & post machining steps like material preparation, deburring, tapping, inspection, packaging and other manufacturing activities.
