Job Description

Location:
Warren area Shift 5:30pm to 4am Benefits start day 1 of employment
Position Summary:
We are currently seeking skilled Machinists to operate CNC and Manual Grind equipment to exacting tolerances and dimensions with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
Reads, interprets and follows blueprints, sketches, and product/engineering specifications Set up and operate CNC OD and ID grind equipment with minimal supervision on a Studer grinding machine. Make adjustments as required to maintain print specifications Grind of spline shafts and aircraft gears holding tolerances of .0001" - .0005" Maintain proper documentation of SPC data and participate in certified operator program. Inspect faces and diameters using micrometers, gages and amps Perform in-process and last piece inspection using micrometers, calipers, comparators, various gauges. Perform operator maintenance. Perform the required measurements to assure product quality
Requirements:
Mechanical aptitude a plus Working knowledge of Inspection Devices and Instruments Ability to translate prints along with understanding of GD&T Experience using Studer OD Grinder, FANUC controls using G code Blueprint reading skills Shop math skills Proficiency in the use of a wide variety of precision measuring tools are required. Ability to utilize visual comparator and Precision Gear Check Equipment
