Shift Premium Position Overview:

We are seeking experienced CNC Operators to support production operations in an automotive manufacturing environment. The CNC Operator will operate and adjust CNC machining equipment, perform machine setups, troubleshoot equipment, complete quality inspections, and maintain accurate production documentation. The ideal candidate has CNC experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate machinery in various CNC machining centers. Set machine controls according to programs and install fixtures. Perform machine setups and make necessary tooling adjustments. Repair tooling and troubleshoot machines within the assigned work cell. Make preliminary inspections of the first piece produced. Adjust tooling as needed to maintain proper dimensions and overall part quality. Manually position and remove tools as required. Perform quality checks on production parts according to quality control requirements. Identify and report quality defects to the Team Leader or Supervisor. Complete and update daily production paperwork, including production reports, PPLH, TAKT, and scrap reports. Operate workplace technology and equipment, including SAP handheld scanners, calculators, printers, and calipers. Support Lean Manufacturing principles and participate in waste elimination initiatives. Participate in team meetings and support company production goals and objectives. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous CNC machining experience required. Working knowledge of CNC troubleshooting and machine adjustments. Ability to adjust robot positions using a teach pendant. Basic computer skills. Ability to use calipers and other measuring equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to read and follow work instructions and production requirements. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Previous automotive manufacturing experience preferred. Approximately 2 years of automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
