Hiring for CNC Lathe Operators OR Machinists 2nd shift or Weekend Shift Weekly Pay! Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinists to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience setting up and operating 2-3 axis CNC lathes and possess the ability to perform higher-level setups. This role involves setting up, inspecting, adjusting, and operating a variety of CNC machines, including turning centers, while ensuring the highest quality and precision in all parts produced. Responsibilities Set up, inspect, adjust, and operate a variety of CNC machines, including lathes and turning centers. Follow procedures and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and quality. Read and understand work orders, layouts, prints, and inspection criteria. Maintain inventory accuracy during the manufacturing process. Package and label completed parts for delivery to assembly lines. Perform necessary secondary operations during machine cycle time as required. Create and maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment. Deburr, clean, protect, and store parts appropriately. Perform daily maintenance and inform leads of any machine issues beyond standard maintenance. Monitor parts dimensions using inspection equipment and adjust or replace tools to meet specifications and productivity expectations. Inspect parts at setup and periodically according to Inspection Procedures. Verify part features comply with expectations using various equipment and gauges, including Optical Comparator, Calipers, Micrometers, Profilometers, and more. Qualifications Experience 2+ years with CNC machining, including lathe and mill setups. Proficiency in reading and interpreting G&M codes. Ability to perform machine changeovers and operate various machining equipment. Competence in reading blueprints and using inspection equipment. Experience with CNC machines and related equipment.
