Job Description

Position:
Sprocket Machinist Operator Location:
Belmont, NC Schedule:
1st Shift | 4-Day Work Week |
Minimal Overtime Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Sprocket Machinist Operator to operate manual and CNC equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has experience with CNC setup/operation, blueprint reading, and precision measurement.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC lathes and 3-axis CNC machining centers . Operate manual lathes, drill presses, and horizontal/vertical band saws. Read blueprints and technical drawings. Measure OD, ID, depths, angles, flatness, and thickness. Use micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision tools . Perform quality checks and maintain production accuracy. Follow safety, 5S, quality, and continuous improvement standards. Meet production and efficiency requirements.
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED preferred. Previous machinist or machine operator experience. CNC setup/programming/operation experience. Strong blueprint reading and shop math skills. Experience with precision measuring instruments. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 75 lbs . Good attendance, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Schedule:
1st shift, 4-day work week with minimal OT. What experience do you have machining and inspecting tight-tolerance sprockets or similar components, including reading blueprints and using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools to verify dimensions?
