CNC Machine Operator inExhaust - 3.3 Lincoln, NE Job Details Full-time 14 hours ago Qualifications Machine tool maintenance Mechanical blueprint interpretation Machine setup Power saws Quality records maintenance Blueprint specification interpretation Inventory control Mechanical fabrication Safety regulations Moving Machining tool setup Equipment troubleshooting Mid-level Factory operations documentation Metal fabrication Manufacturing standard operating procedures Dimensional measurements CNC quality inspection Task prioritization Mechanical quality control procedures Production monitoring Cutting machines Quality assurance experience within manufacturing Safety standard operating procedures Quality control records management Communication skills CNC machine maintenance Production troubleshooting Full Job Description Job Summary CNC Machine Operator will produce machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine while adhering to quality and safety standards Duties and Responsibilities Loads steel plate stock on burning table Support and assist fabrication department Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures Determine the appropriate equipment or method based on requirements to cut, bend, roll, etc. Utilize proper tips, torch spacing, fuel setting and material utilization Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces, adhering to standards Maintains specifications by observing, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, and troubleshooting processes Documents actions by completing production and quality logs Plans by studying work orders, engineering plans, materials, specifications, locations of surfaces, and parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances Plans stock inventory by checking stock to determine amount available Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance and following manufacturer's instructions Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics Ability to multi-task and prioritize Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, shears, rolls, etc.) Ability to follow procedures and ensure accuracy in documentation and data Detail oriented Goal/task oriented with minimal supervision Team player with excellent communication skills Ability to meet planned and unscheduled deadlines Work Environment This is a working manufacturing and production facility. As such this is a hot, dusty, loud area, and there are always moving parts. Caution and attention to your surroundings needs to always be at the forefront of your mind as safety always starts with you. Attention to Detail Follows detailed procedures and ensures accuracy in documentation and data; carefully monitors gauges and processes; concentrates on routine work details; organizes and maintains documents and records. Goal/task accomplishment with minimal supervision; professionalism and the ability to interact effectively with others; ability to meet planned and unscheduled deadlines in a timely manner. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this Job, the employee required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel. The employee is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
