CNC Milling Machine Operator

CNC Operator - 2nd SHIFT Graphicast is looking for an experienced 2nd shift CNC Operator to run Vertical CNC milling centers safely and accurately to perform a variety of functions. We apply a 10% shift differential to base pay for 2nd shift employees. Graphicast machines zinc alloy castings produced in our in-house foundry. Graphicast's customers include many medical equipment manufacturers, who demand the highest quality. We need employees able to work with great concentration and precision. They must be responsible and comply with all safety guidelines. A keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude are essential. Set up experience is desirable, but not a requirement. Responsibilities Operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, tapping, milling etc. Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, manufacturing instructions, etc. Prepare and load castings onto the CNC machines Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result Inspect, measure, finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality Desired Skills Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools, including height gages and coordinate measuring machines Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings Machine set-up skills are a plus Mechanical aptitude and good math skills A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach Good communication abilities
