Job Description

Responsibiliies Operates CNC machines (lathes and milling) and conventional machines to fabricate parts by performing the duties listed below Understand blueprints, job plans and operation instructions to assure parts are manufactured to specs. Carefully handle parts to avoid damage. Follows instructions on loading / unloading parts and in process inspection. Measure workpiece using micrometer, vernier, or other instrument / gage to determine piece is being made to specs. Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining. Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications. Follows the mantra that "everyone is an inspector" Keeps work area and machines clean and organized. Must operate equipment in a manner that is safe to themselves and their fellow employees Immediately informs Set-up person or Programmer of any issues with parts, set up or the machine. Operates one or more machines at any one time. Performs all types of deburring. Personal basic tools is a plus. Takes a proactive approach to continuous improvement including productivity, quality and safety.
Qualifications:
High school or technical school a plus, but not a requirement Minimum of 1 year experience required. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions is required.
Pay:
From $22.00 per hour
