Job Description
The CNC Plasma/Waterjet Operator is responsible for cutting, kitting, and processing raw materials to meet customer specifications.
Work independently with limited supervision cutting metal plate & sheet on waterjet and plasma machine. Operate, maintain and repair CNC controlled waterjet system and plasma table.
Essential Functions:
Cutting material to specifications of cut list Labeling each detail with required information Keep track of the materials to be cut and material use Documentation of A numbers for material-job tracking for id and traceability Other tasks as assigned by management Duties (included but not limited to):Work independently with limited supervision cutting metal plate & sheet on waterjet and plasma machine. Operate, maintain and repair CNC controlled waterjet system and plasma table.
Responsibilities:
- Program, operate and maintain waterjet machine and plasma.
- Troubleshoot program, offset, and condition settings and adjust corrections.
- Work in accordance to established safety rules and
GOOD HOUSEKEEPING
practices.- Work on additional equipment or tasks outside the job description as directed by the floor supervisor for production needs or continuous improvement.
- Accurately record time and production
Basic Qualifications:
- 2 years experience required
- Experience programming and operating waterjets and or plasma tables.
- Experience with forklifts, basic hand tools, calipers, micrometer, tape measure, etc.
- Experience with DXF, DWG and various print file types.
- Experience with CNC machine operation.
- Able to navigate documentation from production records and database.
- Able to identify material types and thickness as associated to work orders.
- Able to read/interpret blueprints and understand part tolerances per print specification.
- Must be able to regularly lift 50+ lbs.
- Must be available to work all required shift hours and be available to work overtime, and weekends, as needed We offer competitive pay and benefits including paid time off, 401K match, and health insurance.
