Derecktor Shipyard is hiring an experienced Manual Machinist, with CNC knowledge, to work in a marine environment at our Mamaroneck, NY location. Candidates
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE OPERATING MANUAL MACHINES
(predominant) and CNC router and lathe. Responsibilities Fabricate, modify and remanufacture parts required to maintain, repair, or create ship board parts and equipment. Set up machines, adjust settings, perform calibration, maintenance and repairs. Expertise in milling, tapering, turning, and threading. Apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, machinability of materials, layout, and machining Operation of manual machining tools including milling machines, lathes, planer, drill presses, grinder, etc. Operate CNC router and lathe Interpret mechanical drawings/blueprints, design and implement CAD drawings for machining of parts Perform machine maintenance Requirements
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE OPERATING MANUAL TOOLS
Able to perform duties with minimal supervision Keeps work area clean and organized to insure safety and environmental compliance.
