In this role, you will operate and set up CNC Swiss-style lathes, ensuring the production of high-quality components with exceptional accuracy. Your expertise will drive efficiency, uphold safety standards, and support our commitment to manufacturing excellence. Duties Set up and operate CNC Swiss lathes, ensuring proper machine calibration and tooling adjustments for optimal performance Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements and specifications Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other measurement tools to verify part quality Perform manual machining tasks such as turning, milling, grinding, or drilling as needed to support production or troubleshoot issues Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and lean manufacturing principles Conduct quality inspections during and after machining processes to ensure parts meet GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards and customer specifications Assist in machine setup, tooling selection, and calibration to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime Use hand tools, power tools, grinders, and other machining tools for maintenance or minor repairs of equipment Experience Proven experience operating CNC Swiss-style lathes or similar CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment Ability to read mechanical blueprints accurately and interpret mechanical blueprint details for precise machining operations Familiarity with measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and precision measurement techniques in quality control Mechanical aptitude with experience in manual machining operations on lathes or milling machines is highly desirable Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations in machining tasks Understanding of GD&T principles for quality inspection and tolerance verification Knowledge of tooling setup, machine calibration, M-code programming, CNC G-code programming, and machine troubleshooting skills are essential Join us to advance your career in precision manufacturing!
