In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathe machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications. Your expertise will ensure high-quality output, efficient production processes, and adherence to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining technology in a dynamic environment committed to excellence and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Set up CNC lathe machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and programming parameters based on blueprints and technical drawings. Operate CNC lathes using Fanuc or similar control systems to produce complex parts with precision and consistency. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications, and manufacturing instructions. Program CNC lathes using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and verify programs for accuracy before production runs. Conduct routine inspections of machined parts utilizing precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Perform quality checks throughout the machining process to ensure parts meet specifications; adjust machine settings as needed. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols, handling hand tools and power tools properly, and performing routine machine maintenance. Collaborate with team members on tooling setups, tooling changes, and troubleshooting machine issues quickly to minimize downtime. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvements and waste reduction. Assist in assembly or welding tasks when required for finished product completion. Experience Proven experience operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing setting with a strong understanding of CNC programming, preferably with Fanuc controls. Knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings is essential. Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding processes, and welding techniques is a plus. Proficiency in using SolidWorks or CAD software for part design review is desirable. Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines accurately. Basic math skills including fractions, decimals, and measurement conversions are required for precise machining tasks. Mechanical knowledge of machining tools, tooling selection, setup procedures, and maintenance practices is necessary. Experience working with CNC milling machines or other manufacturing equipment is beneficial. Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills will help ensure quality output in a fast-paced environment. Join us as a CNC Lathe Operator where your skills will drive precision manufacturing excellence! We value energetic individuals eager to grow their expertise while contributing to innovative production solutions in a collaborative team setting.
