The Day Shift CNC Lathe Setup/Lead is responsible for efficiently setting up, managing direct reports, running production CNC machines, maintaining good quality product, and reporting issues to their supervisor. Day Shift CNC Lathe Setup/Lead Operator - DUTIES

AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Runs and manages production in the CNC Lathe Department Sets up new jobs Assists department operators with quality and performance Trains new employees as needed Reports directly to Day Shift Production Supervisor Gathers paperwork for and works with scheduling to maintain schedule integrity Ensure that operators in department are maintaining good quality products Reports issues to the Day Shift Production Supervisor and Engineering Leaves machine in good working condition; new tooling, good coolant level, etc. Makes tool offsets and changes to tooling when needed Inspects products properly Keeps the machine area clean, including floor, machine, and workstation Performs all other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

5 years' experience using production machines Able to make good decisions on which materials to use, how to solve the problem and if outside help is needed Able to work in a high-pressure environment and handle multi-tasks Ability to read, analyze, and interpret company documents.

EDUCATION
