The CNC Set-up Operator will be responsible for the following duties:

• Set up, Mill Turn and Multi-Turret Machines.
• Conduct first-article inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to identify and resolve machining issues such as tool wear, chatter, and dimensional variation.
• Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality surface finishes.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Create and manage set-up sheets and work instructions.
• In depth knowledge of tooling, fixturing, and programming is a must.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Must possess the ability to take a part print and generate a finished part with tool, fixture/jaw selection and CNC program creation.
• The candidate must possess strong organizational skills.
• Pay is commensurate based on capabilities and experience This job is for you if you have:
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role.
• 5+ years of experience operating and setting up CNC lathes, including multi-axis machines.
• Experience with Mill Turn and Multi-Turret Machines.
• Experience machining aircraft components
• Knowledge of

DMG-MORI

machines is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of CNC controls (Fanuc, and Mitsubishi controls)
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints
• Strong experience with cutting tool selection, application, and speeds/feeds
• Experience with live tooling, sub-spindles, and complex part geometrics
• Ability to independently complete setups from print to first-article approval.
• Solid understanding on machining materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, and other alloys.
• Experience with bar feeders.
• Understanding cutter selection, speeds, feeds, chip load.
• Understand

IPM, MPM, IPR, SFPM.

• CMM knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to inspect your own parts with metrology equipment such as, OD mics, Calipers, Depth mics, dial Bore gages, bore mics, snap ring gages, telescope gages, thread plugs, gage pins, height stand optical comparator etc.
• Attention to detail is a must.
• Must be a team player and have a positive attitude while also being able to complete tasks individually.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation
• Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of finished products.
• Skills test will be provided.
