This is not a cycle-start-only position. You will set up and run CNC mills, verify programs, dry-run new jobs, make offsets and basic program edits, and inspect your own work before it moves to the next operation. We are looking for a machinist who takes ownership of the entire process, catches problems early, and communicates clearly with Team Leads and Quality. • Set up and operate CNC mills to produce precision parts to customer specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, customer prints, work orders, and job instructions.
• Verify programs, tooling, fixtures, workholding, and setup requirements.
• Dry-run new programs and confirm proper machine operation before full production.
• Make offsets and basic program edits to maintain required tolerances.
• Inspect first pieces and finished parts using micrometers, dial calipers, thread gauges, verniers, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Monitor tool wear, surface finish, and machine performance throughout the run.
• Identify concerns early and work with Team Leads and Quality to resolve them.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation and follow all safety and quality procedures. What We're Looking For
• Previous CNC mill setup and operating experience.
• Ability to independently complete machine setups and read blueprints and customer specifications.
• Experience performing dry runs, making offsets, and completing basic program edits.
• Proficiency with standard precision measuring equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
• Dependability, clear communication, and willingness to learn different programs, parts, and setups. Schedule
• Second shift: Monday through Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
• 40 hours per week.
