CNC Lathe Machinist - Openings on 1st, 2nd and 3rd

Company Overview:
We are a precision aerospace machining company known for delivering high-quality components to demanding specifications. We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our 2nd shift team.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and edit programs on CNC lathes, including models with Fanuc controls. Work confidently and independently to meet tight aerospace machining tolerances and precision requirements. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job travelers. Perform machine setups, tool changes, and offsets as needed for production runs. Edit CNC programs as required to optimize machining processes and ensure part conformance. Operate machines such as Mori Seiki or Mazak CNC lathes. Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to verify conformance to specifications. Collaborate with a small second-shift team to maintain workflow and quality standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following company safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a CNC lathe machinist in a precision or aerospace environment. Strong ability to set up and operate CNC lathes independently, including tooling and fixturing. Proficient in reading and editing Fanuc-based CNC programs. Familiarity with Mori Seiki and/or Mazak machines highly preferred. Solid understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, and aerospace machining requirements. High attention to detail and commitment to producing top-quality parts. Ability to work effectively and independently on 2nd shift within a small team. Strong problem-solving skills and confidence in decision-making on the shop floor. #INDJenAdv
