Job Overview We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our day shift manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machining equipment to produce high-precision parts according to technical specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC programming, blueprint reading, and industrial equipment troubleshooting. The CNC Operator will ensure that manufacturing processes adhere to safety standards and quality control measures, contributing to efficient production workflows within our manufacturing facility. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machining equipment such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other related machinery including controls and programmable logic controllers. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing documents to determine machining requirements. Program CNC machines using CAM programming and adjust settings for optimal performance. Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specified tolerances including GD&T standards. Conduct basic troubleshooting of industrial equipment and perform routine maintenance to prevent downtime. Handle materials and tooling efficiently, including materials handling and tooling setup for various machining operations. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety standards in production and following safety protocols during machine operation. Assist in quality control processes by inspecting finished parts for dimensional accuracy and adherence to specifications. Collaborate with team members on fabrication, assembly, packaging, and other production tasks as needed. Experience Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar equipment within a manufacturing or factory environment. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages preferred but will train, blueprint reading, and technical drawing interpretation. Familiarity with industrial equipment troubleshooting, tooling setup, shop math, and the use of precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers. Experience with safety standards in production environments and quality control procedures. Prior hands-on experience with materials handling, tooling management, assembly processes, and the use of hand tools is advantageous.
