You will set up and run multi-axis turning and milling production cycles, perform in-process inspections, and edit or program G and M codes as needed, all while maintaining strict quality and safety standards in a machine shop environment. Responsibilities Run CNC lathes and CNC mills to produce parts according to blueprints and specifications. Set up CNC machines for production cycles, including tooling, work holding, and offsets on multi-axis turning and milling equipment. Program and edit CNC programs using G and M codes, including minor adjustments to improve quality and efficiency. Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools to verify part dimensions and tolerances. Read and interpret engineering blueprints to determine machining requirements, dimensions, and tolerances. Essential Skills Hands-on experience operating CNC lathes and CNC mills in a production or machine shop environment. Ability to set up CNC machines, including tooling, fixtures, and offsets for multi-axis turning and milling. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints for machining operations.
