In this role, you will be responsible for operating CNC milling machines to produce precision components according to technical drawings and specifications. Your expertise in machine setup, programming, and quality control will ensure the highest standards of craftsmanship and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex manufacturing projects in a fast-paced environment, emphasizing safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC milling machines, ensuring proper calibration and alignment for each job. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production documents to determine machining requirements. Program CNC machines using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to create precise tool paths. Utilize shop math, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions. Conduct routine machine maintenance, troubleshoot industrial equipment issues, and perform adjustments to optimize performance. Follow safety standards in production environments, including proper use of hand tools, tooling, and materials handling procedures. Perform quality control inspections on finished parts, ensuring adherence to specifications through dimensional measurements and visual checks. Skills Proficiency in CNC programming languages and familiarity with Fanuc controls. Experience with CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brake machines, stamping presses, and other industrial equipment. Strong understanding of blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and fabrication processes. Knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks for design review and tooling setup. Ability to interpret manufacturing documentation accurately and apply shop math effectively. Mechanical knowledge related to tooling setup, machine operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Familiarity with safety standards in manufacturing facilities and the use of precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers. Hands-on experience with forklift operation is a plus for materials handling tasks. Previous factory or manufacturing facility experience is highly valued for understanding production workflows.
