37.5 hours per week (Day Shifts only)

Location:

Crewkerne The Role You will be responsible for minimising CNC lathe downtime and maximize manufacturing efficiency by preparing, assembling, and precisely measuring high-quality tooling kits for Machine Setters prior to production. This role drives operational excellence by maintaining an optimal tooling inventory, monitoring tool wear, and actively identifying opportunities to improve tool life and reduce production costs. The position is responsible for health & safety, quality and ensuring accurate data is recorded. Responsibilities You will be: Ensuring that any health and safety guidelines are followed in accordance with the EHS organisational arrangements roles and responsibilities, including maintaining (and improving were possible) 5S standards and ensuring the correct PPE is worn. Building and assembling CNC lathe tooling combinations, including boring bars, live tools and turning inserts following setup sheets and technical drawings. Packaging and delivering organised tooling kits directly to CNC setters Monitoring, logging and maintaining tool room inventory, ensuring a continuous supply of parts Inspecting, cleaning and stripping return tooling, check for damage or wear before replenishing Qualifications Experience

Essential:
