Job Title:
CNC Machine Operator Job Description:
This role is responsible for operating CNC mills and/or lathes to produce high‑quality parts that meet strict quality and tolerance requirements. Ideal candidates have experience working from detailed prints, performing in‑process inspections, and maintaining consistent quality in a production setting. Responsibilities Operate CNC milling and/or turning machines to manufacture precision parts Load and unload raw material and finished parts safely and efficiently Run existing CNC programs and monitor machining operations for accuracy and consistency Perform tool changes, offset adjustments, and minor program edits as required (based on skill level) Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and work instructions Conduct in‑process and final inspections using precision measuring tools Verify part dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes meet aerospace specifications Document inspection results and production data per quality requirements Identify and report non‑conforming parts or process issues Perform routine machine checks and basic preventative maintenance Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all aerospace quality standards, safety policies, and procedures Skills & Qualifications Experience operating CNC mills and/or lathes in a production environment Ability to read and work from blueprints and technical drawings Experience using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) Strong attention to detail and quality Understanding of machining fundamentals (feeds, speeds, tooling wear) Ability to follow documented processes and quality procedures Reliable attendance and ability to work in a team‑based environment Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of
LADSON, SC.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
