Position Summary The CNC Panel Cutter / Cutting Specialist is responsible for producing high-quality cabinet components by operating and maintaining cutting equipment. This role involves reading specifications, programming machines, and ensuring materials are cut accurately and efficiently to support cabinet assembly. The position also plays a key role in maintaining equipment performance through preventative maintenance and calibration. Key Responsibilities Program and operate cutting department equipment, including CNC machinery Cut custom panels and cabinet components according to specifications Read and interpret drawings, order forms, and measurements Determine and follow the correct sequence of operations Inspect materials and finished parts to ensure quality standards are met Detect malfunctions and make necessary machine adjustments Replace blades and maintain tooling as needed Prepare machines for production runs Clean and maintain equipment, tools, and work area Support preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment Follow all safety guidelines and PPE requirements Perform other duties as assigned Equipment & Tools Used CNC machines Table saws Drilling machines Edge banders Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Basic computer skills and ability to learn machine programming Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability Ability to read and interpret instructions, measurements, and drawings Basic math skills Ability to use common sense to carry out instructions Strong communication skills with coworkers and supervisors Attention to detail and quality Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Frequent bending and twisting throughout the shift Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly Comfortable working in a fast-paced, loud manufacturing environment
