Salary:
Negotiable, depending upon relevant experience. Diab Americas, located in Desoto, Texas (15 minutes from downtown Dallas) is looking for an experienced CNC Operator to set up and operate 5-Axis CNC machines efficiently and safely to perform a variety of functions. Your job is important since some materials are not easy to shape or handle manually or with conventional equipment. A keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude are essential. The goal is to produce high quality parts and materials by programming machines to perform the right operations. Responsibilities Set up, maintain and operate CNC machines, including 5-axes CNC machines. Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc. Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function. Read G-codes & M-Codes to operate program/machine. Check tool list in program to ensure correct use of tool/tool number. Manually install tools in CNC machine as needed per program. Load correct program required to machine parts. Setup correct fixtures per parts being machined. Identify and pull correct material required to fill order. Multitask and operate two CNC machines simultaneously to produce parts for different orders. Load/Unload CNC machine with material/parts being produced. Deburr and inspect parts produced according to customer drawing/requirements.
Perform the following tasks:
sanding, deburring, labeling, packaging, filling out required forms, cutting material. Cut material on Table Saw and/or Band Saw Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications. Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts. Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result. Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly. Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality. Maintain a lean and organized work area as required for functional and safe work environment. Complete assigned tasks within production schedule timeline. Responsible for maintaining housekeeping requirements within assigned area/s Use the following tools: Tape measure, Calipers, Sandpaper, Orbital Sander, Power Tools, Manual Tools, Table Saw, Band Saw, Compressed Air, Label Machine, PC and/or Laptop, Excel Spreadsheet software. Academic/Educational Requirements High school diploma or equivalent
Technical or vocational training in machining is preferred. Experience with aerospace, medical, defense, or precision manufacturing environments preferred. Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift certification.
Experience/Skills:
Minimum 3+ yrs in a manufacturing environment. Minimum 2+ yrs experience operating 5-Axis CNC machines

Ability to use manual and power tools including, but not limited to, standard and metric tape measures, digital calipers, sandpaper, orbital sander, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, table saw, band saw, compressed air, and label machine. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Ability to read, comprehend and perform to Quality System Documentation Ability to operate a computer. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work overtime as needed. Ability to understand and abide by company policies and Health & Safety requirements. Ability to maintain attendance in accordance with company attendance policies. Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continually throughout shift. Ability to stand for duration of shift.
