This senior operator handles complex, close-tolerance, first-time, and high-impact work; resolves advanced cutting and automation problems; supports process development; and serves as a technical resource and trainer across the REGIUS 9kW, FLC 4020, and ENSIS 2kW with minimal supervision. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set up and run complex, close-tolerance, unusual, or first-time laser work safely and efficiently.
  • Plan practical machine, material, nest, consumable, assist-gas, and handling approaches for challenging parts within approved requirements.
  • Interpret complex drawings, detailed tolerances, surface requirements, downstream forming needs, and inspection criteria.
  • Diagnose advanced problems involving the cutting head, optics protection, consumables, gas delivery, material variation, machine condition, programs, nests, or cutting parameters.
  • Lead advanced recovery and troubleshooting for REGIUS and FLC automation-tower stoppages, load or unload faults, pallet-flow issues, and material discrepancies within assigned authority.
  • Optimize safe production flow between tower inventories, machine schedules, completed nests, remnants, skeletons, and downstream operations.
  • Validate first-piece results for complex jobs and help establish repeatable setup, inspection, consumable, and automation methods.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate the demonstrated skills of Level 0 through Level 2 operators when assigned.
  • Partner with quality, programming, maintenance, material control, engineering, and supervision to resolve recurring or high-impact issues.
  • Improve standardized work, setup documentation, alarm-response instructions, tower procedures, safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Model excellent safety, quality ownership, communication, organization, and professional conduct. Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Advanced laser setup, cutting-process knowledge, automation operation, and troubleshooting capability.
  • Ability to manage complex parts, close tolerances, difficult materials, unattended cycles, and non-routine work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong understanding of how material, nests, consumables, optics protection, assist gas, cutting conditions, machine state, and automation flow affect finished parts.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach others and communicate technical information clearly.
  • Consistent record of high-quality work, dependable output, sound judgment, and safe performance.
Pay:
$27.00 - $33.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
