Full Job Description CNC Machinist Assistant Pay:

Depending on experience and qualifications Job Description We are looking for a CNC Machinist Assistant to join our team in Grand Prairie, TX. This position is ideal for someone with CNC machining experience who is looking to work in a custom machine shop environment. Our work includes custom, one-off, and low-volume parts, so every job can be different. The level of responsibility will depend on the candidate's experience, skills, and ability to work independently. Candidates with stronger CNC programming, setup, and machining experience may take on additional responsibilities. Schedule Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Occasional Saturdays as needed Responsibilities Assist machinists with daily CNC machining operations. Assist with machine setups, tooling, fixtures, and work offsets. Load and unload material and parts. Assist with CNC mills and lathes. Read and understand basic blueprints and technical drawings. Take accurate measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools. Assist with inspecting finished parts. Help prepare and organize materials, tools, and work areas. Assist with program changes and adjustments when qualified. Keep machines and work areas clean and organized. Follow instructions and work safely around CNC equipment and shop machinery. Support machinists and other shop personnel with various production and custom machining projects. Requirements Bilingual in English and Spanish required. Previous CNC machining experience preferred. Basic knowledge of CNC mills and/or lathes. Ability to read basic blueprints and understand measurements. Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools. Basic understanding of G-code is a plus. Ability to use common shop tools. Good attention to detail. Reliable, motivated, and willing to learn. Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions. Must be willing to assist with different tasks throughout the shop. Preferred Qualifications CNC programming experience. Experience with G-code. Experience with Mastercam or Solidworks software. Experience setting up CNC machines. Manual machining experience. Ability to independently set up and machine custom parts. Pay Depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
