CNC Mill Operator

Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mill Machinist to operate manual and/or CNC milling machines to manufacture precision parts and components according to blueprints, specifications, and production schedules. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience working in a machine shop environment. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate manual and/or CNC milling machines Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders Measure and inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators Adjust machine settings, speeds, feeds, and tooling to maintain product quality and efficiency Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment clean and operational Monitor production runs and identify machining or quality issues Maintain accurate production and inspection records Follow all safety procedures and company policies Work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, and other shop personnel to meet production goals Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Technical or trade school certification in machining preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience operating milling machines in a manufacturing environment Experience with CNC programming and setup is a plus Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools Strong understanding of machining processes, tolerances, and materials Ability to work independently and maintain high quality standards Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Frequent bending, reaching, and manual dexterity required Comfortable working in a manufacturing/shop environment with exposure to machinery and noise Schedule Full-time Overtime may be required based on production demands Benefits Competitive pay Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays 401(k) with company match Opportunities for advancement and skills development
