Job Description
Overview Currently hiring recent trade school graduates with an emphasis in machining or candidates with prior CNC Operation experience that are looking for a career in machining! Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Machine Operator and become a vital part of producing high-quality precision components. In this energetic role, you will operate, monitor, and maintain a variety of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to ensure efficient and accurate production. Your expertise will help drive manufacturing excellence, uphold safety standards, and contribute to the seamless flow of our fabrication processes. Duties Set up and operate CNC machining equipment including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC machining centers to produce parts according to technical specifications. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files, and manufacturing documents to ensure precise fabrication. Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and adjust parameters for optimal performance. Conduct dimensional measurements using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify part accuracy in accordance with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshoot industrial equipment issues, and ensure safety standards are consistently met during operations. Handle materials and tooling efficiently, including materials handling, setup of tooling on press brake machines or stamping presses, and managing shop math calculations for production accuracy. Support quality control processes by inspecting finished products and ensuring they meet specifications through precision measurement instruments. Requirements Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar industrial equipment within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and technical drawing analysis. Proficiency in CNC programming languages and CAM programming software; familiarity with Fanuc controls is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience with shop tools like calipers, micrometers, hand tools, and tooling setup. Ability to interpret production documents accurately and perform shop math calculations reliably. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and commitment to maintaining a safe workspace. Experience with industrial troubleshooting techniques related to CNC machinery or fabrication equipment such as press brakes or stamping presses. Warehouse experience or familiarity with materials handling and packaging processes is a plus. Strong communication skills for interpreting technical instructions and collaborating effectively within the team.
