Job Description

Role Overview The CNC PythonX Operator plays a critical front-end fabrication role. The operator inputs 3D structural modeling files into the robotic system to complete drilling, coping, beveling, and cutting in one comprehensive step.
Key Responsibilities Machine Operation:
Set up, calibrate, and safely operate the PythonX robotic plasma cutting cell.
Data Input:
Read and interpret structural steel blueprints, detailing layouts, and digital work orders.
Material Handling:
Load and maneuver massive structural steel pieces (including wide-flange beams, HSS tubes, channels, and pipes) using overhead cranes or conveyors. [1]
Quality Inspection:
Verify the dimensional accuracy of processed parts using precision measuring tools to maintain high quality-assurance standards. [1, 2]
System Optimization:
Monitor plasma torch consumables, make machine logic adjustments, and troubleshoot live operation variances. [1, 2, 3]
Safety & Maintenance:
Keep a highly organized work area and strictly follow heavy manufacturing safety guidelines. [1]
Requirements & Qualifications Technical Skillset:
Proven experience operating multi-axis CNC machines, with explicit preference for plasma technology systems.
Blueprint Literacy:
Highly proficient in interpreting structural engineering designs and weld symbols.
Math & Precision:
Strong technical math skills for validating complex component geometries and structural cuts.
Physical Capabilities:
Capacity to work in a heavy structural steel fabrication shop environment, lifting and guiding heavy materials.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; an official trade school certification or machine-tool training degree is highly valued.
