CNC Lathe Set Up Operator Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce parts according to blueprints and specifications
• Load raw materials and monitor machine operations to ensure optimal performance
• Perform tool changes, offsets and basic program edits as needed
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Ensure parts meet quality standards and tolerances
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and make necessary adjustments
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors and quality personnel to meet production goals Requirements for

CNC Lathe Set Up Operator:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of experience operating CNC lathe machines (setup experience preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling and materials
• Experience with measuring tools and quality inspection processes
• Basic knowledge of CNC programming (G-code) is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs
• Manual dexterity and ability to handle small parts
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, machinery, and varying temperatures
