Operating across two local facilities—including our state-of-the-art $5M Brookfield plant—our 200-person team drives growth across the aerospace, medical equipment, and power distribution sectors. Shift Availability We are looking for First Shift (5:30 - 2:30pm) and Second Shift (3:45pm - 12:45am). Position Summary As a Set Up Operator, you will bridge technical leadership and production execution. In this advanced role, you will perform machine set-ups, edit programming, manage complex tooling, and operate equipment with minimal supervision while mentoring lower-level operators. Key Responsibilities Basic CNC machine set-ups and edit G-Code directly at the controller to ensure part accuracy. Execute simple and complex tool changes (holders, inserts, specialized cutting tools); adjust work/tool offsets to maintain tight tolerances and minimize scrap. Run CNC Mills and/or Lathes efficiently with minimal supervision. Inspect parts using basic and advanced metrology gauges; interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematics. Train, mentor, and onboard Level 1 and 2 Operators; maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace. Qualifications Proven experience as a CNC Operator ready to perform set-ups and program edits at the controller. Proficiency in managing complex tooling changes and offset adjustments. Advanced blueprint reading skills and mastery of metrology inspection tools. Strong communication skills with a passion for mentoring peers. Ability to work independently while prioritizing safety and quality.
