Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced CNC Machine Technician for a direct hire opportunity in Camarillo, CA. This role supports a precision manufacturing environment that supplies aluminum and zinc castings and machined components to demanding industries, including medical, aerospace, and defense. The CNC Machine Technician will play a key role in setting up, optimizing, and supporting CNC milling and turning operations on advanced HAAS and Matsuura machining centers. This is a strong opportunity for a hands-on machining professional who enjoys solving problems, improving setups, working closely with programmers and quality teams, and producing high-quality precision parts. - Set up and support CNC machining jobs on vertical and horizontal machining centers, including mills and related equipment.
- Assist the machine shop manager and programmers with job setup, process optimization, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Machine castings and hog outs while ensuring parts meet customer specifications and quality requirements.
- Work closely with quality control, engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing teams to exchange technical information and resolve production issues.
- Use precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions and support inspection requirements.
- Maintain organized, safe, and efficient machining practices in a fast-paced production environment. Compensation and Benefits

- Pay range: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour.
Location:

- Set up CNC machining jobs and support daily production on vertical and horizontal machining centers.
- Assist with troubleshooting, process improvement, tooling support, and machining of castings and hog outs.
- Collaborate with quality, engineering, programming, and manufacturing teams to ensure parts meet customer requirements.
- Use precision inspection tools to confirm dimensions and support quality standards.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 3 years of CNC setup experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with vertical and horizontal mills required.
- Proficiency using precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers.
- Ability to understand GD&T callouts and customer requirements.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling applications, and setup best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Basic computer knowledge required.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well with shop leadership, programmers, quality teams, and engineering personnel.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety, compliance, and quality standards. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CNC lathes.
- Ability to program, design, and make fixtures.
- Experience programming
HAAS CNC
machines.- Experience using CAM software.
- Experience designing and creating fixtures for machining operations.
- Experience working in an AS9100 manufacturing environment.
- Bilingual skills.
