DOE Must Haves:
Over 5 years' experience Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely. High School Diploma or GED, College a Plus Detail oriented Experience in high mix, low-volume production Able to create and set up new programs using Mastercam.
Preferences:
Knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100 (preferred) Experience working in an MRP environment Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in CNC programming and a strong understanding of machining processes. Operating and program of CNC Mill & Lathes machines, with a strong expertise in Mastercam. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, aerospace environment. What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience up to $45.00 per hour Overtime opportunities Health, dental, and vision benefits 401(k) with a company match Paid time off + 12 paid holidays Key Responsibilities Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for milling and lathe operations. Interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical documentation Develop and optimize programs using Mastercam creating programs using 2D prints, solid models, and designing tooling/fixing if needed Program, set-up, and operate CNC milling machines and lathes. Conduct setup of CNC machines, including tooling adjustments based on job specifications. Perform inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure optimal part production. Troubleshoot machining issues and provide solutions to improve operational efficiency. Mentor and train junior machinists and contribute to process improvements. Other duties assigned by department manager. What We're Looking For Qualifications 5+ years of CNC machining experience, including programming from scratch Expertise in Mastercam, able to program Lathes and 4-axis Mills Ability to inspect your own work using precision measurement tools Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and craftsmanship Proven experience in CNC programming with a strong background in manufacturing and machining environments. In-depth knowledge of mechanical principles, geometry, tooling, and blueprint reading is essential. Experience with precision measuring instruments is required to ensure quality control throughout production runs.
